• Arrive to work on time.
• Understand the policy/procedure manual
• Sign work agreement contract
• Must sit in elevated lifeguard stands.
• Provide customer service to the participants.
• Understand UNC Charlotte General Operating Procedure
• Comprehend the Emergency Action Plan
• Administer “swim test” for patrons
• Must wear appropriate attire
• Swim a minimum of a 1/2 mile each week
• Effectively communicate to participants from the lifeguard stand
• Submit reports for damaged, or hazardous materials or environment
• Maintain a clean environment for patrons
• Enforce rules & regulations for the UNC Charlotte Swimming Pool.
  

Education Requirements:

• Must be current UNCC student.
  

Technical Requirements:

• Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate
• Must have current American Red Cross Community First Aid Certificate
• Must have current American Red cross CPR/Professional Rescuer certificate
• Must pass swimming skills test (pass/fail)
