Group Fitness Program
At UNC-Charlotte, we pride ourselves on offering the most up-to-date group fitness classes. All group fitness classes are taught by nationally certified instructors, and are designed to provide participants with a safe, effective, and fun workout. All classes are held between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Group Fitness does not discriminate by age, gender, or fitness level
everyone is welcome to attend. We offer a wide variety of classes ranging from yoga and Pilates to kickboxing and sculpting. We encourage everyone to try a group fitness class, especially if you need the extra motivation of great music and a wonderful instructor to workout.
Group Fitness Policies:
*Participants will not be admitted to class after warm-up has begun due to safety reasons.
*Appropriate workout attire is required at all times, including proper athletic shoes.
*Participants are encouraged to regularly monitor their own workout intensity and take water breaks frequently.
*In order to ensure the safety of participants, class size may be limited at the discretion of the instructor.
*The instructor reserves the right to ask a participant to leave if these policies are not followed.
Most Group Fitness Classes are held in the aerobics studio, which is located on the bottom floor of the Student Activity Center (SAC). Tuesday, November 24th: 11:00AM (HABIT+) & 12:30PM (Power Yoga)
Wednesday, November 25th: 11:00AM (Basic Yoga)
Thursday, November 26th - Sunday, November 29th: NO CLASSES
During Men's Basketball Games, the Group Fitness Room closes early (5 hours prior to the game tip-off), in order to set-up the hospitality room/media room for the team. Therefore, the adapted group fitness schedule for those games are as follows:
Wednesday, December 2nd: Last Class of the Day = 11:00am - 12:00pm Basic Yoga
Tuesday, December 8th: Last Class of the Day = 2:00 - 3:00pm Salsa
Upcoming Fitness Programs:
Funky Fit with Marlicia Hunt - 1st Monday of each month. Monday, December 7th;
5:30 - 6:30PM, SAC Aerobics Room.

Inclement Weather Policy:
If the University is CLOSED due to inclement weather, all group fitness classes will be cancelled for the day. If the University is on a delayed/adjusted schedule, group fitness classes will resume using the UNC Charlotte inclement weather schedule.

Schedule is subject to change due to participants' needs and attendance (classes which are consistently
low in numbers, 5 or less, will be cancelled).
CLASS ADMITTANCE: Class size may be limited to equipment and space requirement (Cycle Fit = 15 bikes available). Therefore, classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring and present your valid UNCC ID to gain access to classes.
