The SAC Fitness Center provides participants with experienced and knowledgeable Fitness Assistants that will answer any questions about exercising and the facility, and help participants uphold the facility rules. A Fitness Assistant will also help with instruction on how to properly use all equipment and provide spotting for free weights.
Fitness Center Guidelines
The Fitness Center has specific guidelines that outline the facility rules and regulations, for your safety.
1. You must have a valid UNCC ID card to access the SAC.
2. All participants must sign a liability waiver in order to access the fitness center and group fitness classes. This waiver must be filled out yearly. In addition to the waiver, it is also recommended that each participant check with a physician before starting any fitness program.
3. Participants must wear appropriate clothing (workout attire). No jeans, cargo pants, or shorts with belt loops, belts, or zippers.
4. Participants must wear appropriate footwear (athletic shoes). No sandals, open toed shoes, flip flops, or hiking boots.
5. Water bottles with caps are allowed. However, gum, food, drinks, and tobacco are not allowed in the Fitness Center.
6. Cubicles are available to store bags, and extra clothing, etc. When the cubicles are full, all participants must use lockers in the locker rooms, and provide their own locks for the lockers. Recreational Services and the SAC are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

- 4 Stairclimbers
- 2 Rowing Machines
Weight Equipment include:
- Cybex Weight Machines
- Free Motion Weight Machines
- Free Weights
Services:
- Towels may be checked out at equipment checkout with a valid UNCC ID.
- Free Body Fat Testing.
- Fitness Assessments: Cardio Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, Body Comp (skinfold test), and Blood Pressure. Fees: FREE for Students and F/S Members; $15 for F/S Non-Members
- Guest Policy: Currently enrolled UNCC students are approved to sponsor 1-2 guests. Guest fees will apply (see memberships).
